In an effort to give back and empower women and children in our own community, we take our Project: POSSIBILITIES session to the women and children of local shelters and schools. These sessions bring a moment of self-awareness to these brave women and children. During the sessions, we empower them to see the possibilities in themselves and the world around them. We give them the permission to step out of their circumstance for a moment, to dream big and develop an intention list.
In
this way, they discover sometimes long-forgotten passions or dreams they didn't dare dream before. Often, they merely want to fulfill a biological or psychological need, like food, housing or security.
But, many times, in the midst of this faith-driven, empowering discussion, they see a light of hope of things bigger and better to come - it all starts with their intention to believe in themselves. We merely provide the moment.
We want to thank the women, children
and staff at the following Twin Cities' shelters and schools for allowing us to spend these moments with them: The Hastings Women's Shelter, The Lewis House, Metro Hope's Healing House and Pine Grove Academy.

It's not so much that we're afraid of change or so in love with the old ways, but it's that place in between that we fear . . . . It's like being between trapezes. It's Linus when his blanket is in the dryer. There's nothing to hold on to. Marilyn Ferguson
